Moomin Parade 2026 highlights

The second Moomin Parade in Brussels was a fantastic success.

The event was officially opened by Little My, followed by short opening speeches of the organisers, as well as the Ambassador or Finland to Belgium and Luxembourg, Mr. Jouko Leinonen and Didier Wouters, Alderman of Economic Affairs, Employment, Trade and Municipal Equipment of the City of Brussels - who all launched balloon in the air to officially launch the parade.

After the launch, Little My soon spotted something familiar white at the gates of the parc - it was the Moomins! Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden had arrived together with Sniff and the orchestra Fanfare du Meyboom 2.0.

The parade started on Rue Archimede, and the audience soon spotted Stinky on a balcony! Stinky then joined the parade walk.

The parade is estimated to have gathered over 2.000 people on this festive walk around the European Commission main building.
